$163,500 UPGRADE TO AMENITIES AT GLENREAGH RESERVE WELCOMED
The amenities at Glenreagh’s public recreation reserve will receive a welcome upgrade thanks to a $163,500 grant from the NSW Liberals & Nationals Government, Clarence Nationals MP Chris Gulaptis has announced.
Mr Gulaptis visited the grounds this morning to congratulate the land managers of the Glenreagh Public Recreation Reserve who do a terrific job looking after the camping and recreation grounds.
“It’s a fantastic grant for a small community which will see the toilet block expanded to include new male and female showers as well as a wheelchair accessible shower.
“The expansive reserve is a popular camping and recreation spot and hosts the annual Glenreagh Timber Festival and equestrian events so it’s important the amenities are brought up to a satisfactory standard.
“It’s a perfect rest and camping area for tourists travelling through the Clarence Valley providing powered and unpowered sites and room to cater for 38 campers at a time.
“I know it really means a lot to small communities when they receive such a boost to one of their major community facilities, and I’m pleased the NSW Government has recognised this,” Mr Gulaptis said.
