Ballina Free Brake Checks and BBQ to put focus on Motorcycle Safety
On Wednesday 13 November, motorcyclists in Ballina are invited to drop in to the ‘Bikes, Brakes and BBQ’ event at Ballina Motorcycles for a free brake check and sausage sandwich.
The event will be held at Ballina Motorcycles 21 Kerr Street Ballina, between 10am and 1pm.
The event supports Motorcycle Awareness Month and promotes motorcycle safety.
“Motorcyclists are more exposed and risk serious injury if they are involved in a crash. By keeping your bike in good condition, and choosing safer helmets and riding gear, motorcyclists can ensure they have the best protection,” said Ms Helen Carpenter, Road Safety Officer (Roads and Maritime Service and Ballina Shire Council).
Enjoy a sausage sandwich from the East Ballina Lions Club while having your motorbike brakes checked by an on-site mechanic. Other free giveaways at the event will include:
· Motorcycle repair kits (torch and socket kits)
· Motorcycle Licencing Handbooks
· Neck Warmers
· Screen wipes and
· Information on ABS Brakes, MotoCAP and Motorcycle Helmet Safety Ratings.
The event is supported by Ballina Motorcycles, East Ballina Lions Club, Transport for NSW, and Ballina Shire Council.
