CHANGE OF DATE – NORCO PRIMEX 2020 new date – August 6-8, 2020

Norco Primex 2020 has been rescheduled to August 6-8, 2020.

Primex director Bruce Wright said that the change in date of this year’s event follows the introduction of the Public Health (COVID-19 Public Events) Order 2020 by the NSW Government which prohibits the running of events of 500 people or more – until after June 14, 2020.

“As these circumstances have been evolving, Primex has been in contact with the Association of Agricultural Field Days of Australia, the Richmond Valley Council and a number of exhibitors over the past 10 days to further monitor and consider the best options,” he said.

“Exhibitors who have been contacted as part of this consultation process have been very supportive of the decision to change the date.

“While the health and safety of all stakeholders is the highest priority, we are very conscious of working together and supporting each other as a community. This includes the commercial responsibilities that we hold in supporting our exhibitors, the rural and regional communities, businesses, farming, primary industry and agritourism sectors.

“Primex is determined to provide as much support within our own capabilities to provide a safe, successful and sustainable event for this year and into the future.

“We want to assure that we are currently implementing the recommended extra safety measures and additional facilities in order to consider the general health and safety of our exhibitors, visitors, contractors and staff at the event.

“In terms of our risk management plan for the event, our actions have been to follow the guidelines set by government and authorities, while acting in the best interests of our business and wider communities and stakeholders.”
